All speaks about the solemn return to a respectful, heroic, distant past of a noble antiquity.

French Lace: Linen, needle lace (point de France)  late 17th century The term point de France originally referred to both needle and bobbin lace made in France, but eventually became synonymous with French needle lace characterized by a hexagonal background mesh covered with buttonhole stitches and embellished with tiny projections known as picots.  This cravat with a hunting theme was reputedly part of a set made in 1697 for the marriage of Marie-Adelaide of Savoy and Louis XIV’s grandson the duc de Bourgogne. ©The Metropolitan Museum of Art

If you don’t know about Amina or the topless jihads world wide today I suggest you get googling, Amina Tyler is a 19 year old woman who posted bare breasted photos with the slogan “My Body is My Own and Not the Source of Anyone’s Honor” on her chest. She was arrested and sentenced to “100 lashes” and being “stoned to death”. She went missing and in response FEMEN activists are staging bare cheated protests. This image displays a man kicking an activist protesting outside a mosque. WAKE UP. NUDITY IS NOT A CRIME.
